I like Saturdays. There is always a lot going on for my family and I on Saturdays and today is no different. Well, it’s a little different. Today I am sick, which is generally not a good thing but today it is offering me a different view of my Saturday.
On the typical Saturday there is very much running around to do and somewhere in the middle of it all I get to take time and study, or read, or work on a lesson for the youth or some other similar thing. But today I am sick. That means that today all of the running and bustling here and there is going on around me. Picture one of those fast paced videos with the solitary figure standing in the middle of everything, it’s one of those kind of days.
The more that I watch everything going on around me the more I realize the awesome power of our God! It’s a ‘Be still and know…’ kind of day! So make the time today to take a minute, and be still!
Be still, and know that I am God. (Psa 46:10 ESV)
